PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Professional Real Estate Appraiser, April 1991 – Present

  • President and Founder, Commercial Appraisal of Kentucky, LLC
  • Completed over 12,000 real property appraisals in compliance with USPAP, FIRREA and all other required professional regulations for banks, mortgage companies, courts, attorneys, and individuals.
  • Appraisal assignments include: residential homes, apartment communities, apartment homes, houses, vacant land, residential home sites, residential condominiums, commercial condominiums, mixed use properties, shopping centers, subdivisions, industrial buildings, retails buildings, free-standing office buildings, mid-rise office complexes, places of worship, and special purpose facilities.
  • Appraisals were completed promptly and in compliance with USPAP, FIRREA and all other professional standards.

Review Appraisal

  • Between 1999 and 2006 completed over 1,000 appraisal reviews internally within my company, and trained candidates for the appraisal certification process.
  • Since the inception of the company in 1996, completed approximately 100 review appraisals for various banks and mortgage companies.

Appraisal Supervisor

  • Supervised numerous associate appraiser candidates through the certification process.
  • Many appraisal certification candidates received their certificates and went on to form their own appraisal businesses.
  • Between 1997 and 2005 managed a staff of 6 – 9 full time real estate appraisers.

Expert Witness and Appraisal work for attorneys and courts, 2001 – Present

  • Prepared appraisals for attorneys who were working on legal cases.
  • Testified in trials where real estate values were in dispute.

  • Completed hundreds of appraisals, including residential, commercial and industrial properties. Noteworthy properties are: The Swope Auto Center, in Louisville, Kentucky, which included nine new car dealerships on one campus; The Helmwood Medical Center in Elizabethtown, KY; 57 acres of wetlands, zoned C-2 in Louisville, KY, later to be developed as a Target; and the Future site of Galatin Steel Company, In Galatin County, KY.

  • Sold single family residential homes, apartment buildings, condominiums, vacant land and mixed used commercial properties in my first year.
  • First full year in the real estate business became the highest grossing first year, sales associate at The Henderson Company. The company was the sixth largest agency in Kentucky having approximately ninety agents.
  • In the second full year as a sales associate, became a member of The Henderson Company’s “Top Ten Club”, being the eighth highest producing agent in the company and among the top 10% of real estate agents for sales volume in Kentucky.
